Returns and Refund Policy

Thanks for shopping at Needle Woman. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to help.

You have 30 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it. To be eligible for a return:

  • Your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.
  • Your item must be in the original packaging.
  • Your item needs to have the receipt or proof of purchase.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item. If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment). You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer’s policies.

Should you wish to cancel your order before items are shipped to you, you will be refunded the cost of your entire order and payment – no questions asked. Refunds will be made within 30 Calendar days.

Shipping Policy

Following are the terms and conditions that constitute our Shipping Policy.

Domestic Shipping Policy

Shipment processing time

All orders are processed within 2 – 3 business days. Preparing and sourcing the items ordered may take as long as 1 – 4 weeks depending whether all the items ordered are in stock.

Customers should note that although we attempt to stock as many of the items we display / advertise on the website, not all the items may be in stock at all times. We will endeavor to source the not-in-stock items as quickly as possible (less than four weeks). If for some reason we are unable to source the stock in a reasonable time period, we will offer the customer a full refund or partial refund on specific items not in stock.

Orders are not processed, shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays. If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. Delivery delays can (and do) occasionally occur. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. There are currently two options:

  • Flat Rate – at R63.25 which is shipping via the PEP Stores Paxi Service. The customer collects their parcel at the nearest PEP Stores Counter; and
  • Courier – at R115.00 which is shipping via The Courier Guy couriers. The parcel is hand delivered to the customers selected address.

We do not routinely make use of the SA Post office due to the unreliable service. However delivery via the SA Post office can be arranged by contacting us.

Shipment confirmation & Order tracking

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.

Customs, Duties and Taxes

Needle Woman is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).

Needle Woman is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim.

What is the CPA?

The Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, effective from 31 March 2011, has been signed in to law to further the socio-economic interest of consumers in South Africa.

The CPA will give you as a consumer the right to demand quality services and goods, to full disclosure of the price of goods and services and will protect you against false, misleading or deceptive representations. Service Providers will be obliged to use plain and understandable language and assist you to understand the terms and conditions applicable to the transaction.

What are some of the purposes of the CPA?

How is the CPA applied?

The Act applies to every transaction that occurs in South Africa for the promotion and supply of goods and services.

The Act does not apply to transactions where:

  • The state is the consumer
  • The consumer is a juristic person whose asset value or annual turnover exceeds R2 million
  • It is a credit agreement subject to the National Credit Act (but the CPA will still apply to the goods/services under the credit agreement)

Needle Woman must comply with this Act. Needle Woman will continuously strive to ensure that all procedures, processes and documentation are compliant with the requirements of the Act.
